About Cathy Sevcik
Dr. Sevcik spent 20 years as a chartered accountant in Alberta before experiencing her own health awakening and deciding to study naturopathic medicine at the Boucher Institute of Naturopathic Medicine. She worked in general practice for six years and then joined Westcoast Women’s Clinic to focus on women’s midlife and hormone health. She has studied the functional medicine approach to hormone health and is completing her practitioner certification with the North American Menopause Society (NAMS). Outside of the clinic, she enjoys tap dancing, reading, walking, and cooking.
I am a licensed Naturopathic Doctor practising at Angel Hands Integrative Centre at W 8th Avenue and Hemlock. I graduated from Boucher Institute of Naturopathic Medicine (BINM) and am a member of British Columbia Naturopathic Association (BCNA) and Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors (CAND). I am a BowenFirst™ therapist and have completed further training in NST and Smart Bowen. I studied Nutrition at the University of Alberta prior to becoming an ND.
After spending 20 years as a Chartered Accountant, I was inspired to become an ND as a result of my own personal health journey. With natural medicine, I was able to overcome significant digestive issues and then later was able to eliminate my body pain when I discovered Bowen therapy. Naturally as a result, I serve many patients with similar issues to those I have overcome.
Because I see such good clinical results with Bowen on my patients, I lead the Introductory Reboot Your Body Workshops at Bowen College in Vancouver in order to spread the knowledge of the amazing practice of Bowen.
