About Catherine Howes
As a Naturopathic Doctor, Catherine is passionate about health promotion and education, working with people to help them better understand their health and to live active and healthy lives. She is a strong proponent of integrative medicine encouraging open communication and co-management of patient care with other health care providers. Her main goal is the optimum care of her patients which she feels is best achieved by combining the skills and individual expertise of a variety of practitioners.
Dr. Howes maintains a general family practice welcoming patients of all ages and stages of wellness. She has a special interest in oncology, digestive health, women's health, pediatrics, and mental health with a clinical focus on fertility, menopause, anxiety, depression, healthy weight loss, detoxification, and stress management. Catherine's practice philosophy integrates modern scientific knowledge with traditional and natural forms of medicine to address the root cause of disease and prevent future illness. Catherine's clinical background includes experience working at the LAMP Community Health Centre and the Robert Schad Naturopathic Clinic in Toronto as well as providing primary healthcare at rural health clinics in Nicaragua with Natural Doctors International.
Catherine is a graduate of the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto. While a student, Catherine served as the Social Events Co-ordinator for the Naturopathic Students Association. Dr. Howes is licensed by the Board of Directors of Drugless Therapy - Naturopathy and is a member of the Ontario Association of Naturopathic Doctors and Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors.
