About Cait Hosanee
Growing up in New Brunswick, I've always appreciated nature and its healing properties; however, my passion for naturopathic medicine was instilled in me by my grandfather. He was a medical doctor from Croatia, but he always chose to use natural remedies where he could. He taught me the importance of understanding the balance between the need for medical intervention and using the remedies provided to us by the earth.
I am a naturopathic doctor practicing in Cochrane, Alberta. I studied naturopathic medicine at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM) in Toronto, Ontario. Prior to studying naturopathic medicine, I completed my Bachelor of Science with honours in Medicinal Chemistry at the University of New Brunswick, in my hometown of Fredericton.
My practice caters to the whole family. Though I do have a special interest is supporting women through pregnancy and the post-partum period. I also love supporting children to prevent and treat childhood conditions. During my time at CCNM, I was on the pediatric focus shift and was co-chair of our doula club. I also had the opportunity to travel to India for one month where I was able to volunteer at pop-up clinics in rural regions and work alongside the local medical doctor (if there was one). Many of the patients we treated were children in orphanages and monasteries. The bond I was able to form with these children further ignited my passion. I knew this was what I was meant to do.
Upon graduation, I moved to Cochrane to be with the love of my life and to be closer to the mountains. I am happiest when I am in nature. That is why in my time outside of clinic, you can find me hiking, kayaking, or walking through nature. I have also played competitive basketball and volleyball and very much enjoy weightlifting.
I can’t wait to work together with you to support your health goals!
