About Brigitte Cote
Dr. Cote, specialist at INESSS since 2003, holds a medical degree from the University of Montreal and a degree in epidemiology and biostatistics from McGill University. She obtained a specialist's certificate in community health (1987) from the Royal College of Physicians of Canada (CRMC), followed by a diploma in international administration (1993) from the School of Public Administration of the University of Quebec and the ULYSSES international master's degree in health technology assessment and management (2005).
After a few years of primary care practice, Dr. Cote worked as a public health consultant within a multidisciplinary primary care team (in CLSC). At INESSS, she deals with various health technology assessment (HTA) files related to public health, including chronic diseases, screening and the organization of services. Dr. Cote has more than 25 years of experience in teaching and continuing education at the University of Montreal (ESPUM). She participated in the drafting of the CRMC's CanMEDS 2015 Competency Framework. She has participated as a consultant in many international health projects in Latin America.
