About Ashley Chauvin
As a child, Dr. Ashley Chauvin, ND was always interested in how the human body worked. She knew from a young age that she wanted to support patients who had a diagnosis of cancer. Knowing she preferred patient contact to spending time in a lab, Dr. Ashley Chauvin, ND graduated from Wayne State University in Michigan with a degree in Radiation Therapy. During her internship, patients had questions about whether or not natural therapies could effect their overall prognosis. Seeing the impact that diet and lifestyle changes had on her own health led Ashley to become interested in the impact of nutrition as well as the efficacy and safety of botanicals and supplements in combination with chemotherapy and radiation.
She decided to make a career change to be able to support patients who had these questions as well as to bridge the gap between conventional and natural medicine. Dr. Ashley Chauvin, ND attended the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto where she received special training in naturopathic adjunctive cancer care as an intern.
Upon graduating from CCNM, she completed a residency program in integrated cancer care where she received advanced training in intravenous therapy, mistletoe therapy and loco regional hyperthermia.
Dr. Ashley Chauvin believes in an integrative and evidence based approach to helping patients with cancer during conventional therapy. Ashley is also passionate about creating individualized treatment plans to assist in the prevention of primary and recurrent cancers. Her treatment plans include dietary advice, lifestyle changes, supplements that include herbs and vitamins and intravenous therapy.
Dr. Ashley Chauvin, ND is registered and in good standing with the College of Naturopaths of Ontario. She is a member of the Ontario Association of Naturopathic Doctors, Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors, and the Oncology Association of Naturopathic Physicians.
