About Antonin Kodet
With over 25 years of experience and two doctoral degrees, Dr. Kodet established Integrative Medical Care, Inc. to help chronically ill and difficult to treat patients. Dr. Kodet combines his extensive academic background in conventional medical science with expertise in natural therapies and treatment methodologies into one complete system of care for his patients. His clinic is in Calgary, Alberta where he specializes in the treatment of adults and children with chronic illnesses and conditions, natural cancer therapies and supportive care for conventional cancer treatments.
Dr. Kodet holds the degree of Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine from the National College of Natural Medicine in Portland, Oregon, the oldest and most respected institution of its kind in North America. He also holds the degree of Pedagogicae Doctris from Charles University in Prague, one of the oldest and most reputable universities in the world where he graduated with honours in Kinesiology and Sport. Concurrently, Dr. Kodet completed his training in Coaching and Sports Rehabilitation.
Dr. Kodet has taught and developed courses at the University of Calgary, Mount Royal University, Vancouver Community College and Calgary College of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture. Courses he taught have included Pathology, Internal Medicine, Pharmacology, Kinesiology and Rehabilitation, Nutrition, Herbal Medicine, Homeopathy, and Modern Principles of Sports Training. He also played a key role in establishing the diploma program for Herbal Therapists at Mount Royal University.
Known for his expert care and effective treatments, Dr. Kodets expertise has also been used in medico-legal proceedings in the courts of law in British Columbia and Alberta where he has been recognized as an expert witness.
Prior to relocating to Calgary, Dr. Kodet established H.I. Rehabilitative Exercise Management, Inc. in Vancouver, B.C., to help severely injured patients who were considered to be non-recoverable. The clinic specialized in treatment of severe injuries, primarily to the head, neck, back and crushed feet. His staff consisted of up to ten rehabilitation personnel, most of them top Canadian athletes. His clinic quickly became known for its trend-setting methodologies and treatment successes.
Dr. Kodets career in medicine started in the best sport rehabilitation centre in Prague where he treated top athletes and the severely injured. A competitive athlete in various sports, he achieved the title of Junior Bodybuilding Champion twice in Czech Republic and went on to coach top level athletes.
Dr. Kodet is actively involved in providing information on natural therapies through public lectures as well as radio and television appearances. He also contributes to various national publications and periodicals.
