About Alana Shaw
Dr. Alana Shaw has dedicated her practice to the advancement of integrative medicine and women’s health. She works in collaboration with your entire healthcare team in order to provide the highest standard of care possible. She studied reproductive endocrinology, infertility, and polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) at the University of British Columbia (UBC), followed by several years working closely alongside Dr. Anthony Cheung MD at the Grace Fertility Centre. She continues to stay active in the academic community as an associate instructor at the Boucher Institute of Naturopathic Medicine. Dr. Shaw recently co-authored her first published article in a peer-reviewed journal and she is a regular speaker and presenter at local and national conferences.
Dr. Shaw is a co-founder of Campfire Professional DevelopmentMedicine and also Mint Integrative Health Inc. She is dual licensed as a registered acupuncturist and naturopathic physician, has her pharmaceutical prescribing license, IV license and has advanced naturopathic training in obstetrics, pediatrics and gynecology.
Dr. Shaw received her undergraduate degree (BSc.) from McMaster University where she also enjoyed a successful varsity basketball career. She graduated from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in 2003. Dr. Shaw is a mom, dog lover and fitness enthusiast.
