About Aisha Manji
Dr. Aisha has always had a strong belief that true healing goes beyond the physical manifestations of disease, to also encompass the emotional and spiritual components of a person. Growing up on a farm, she has always had a strong connection to nature and the elements.
After receiving her Bachelor of Science (McGill), she began her 4-year journey in Naturopathic Medicine in 2004 at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto.
Her passion for mind-body medicine, specifically homeopathy, was sparked in 2006 when she had the opportunity to travel to the foothills of the Himalayas to learn about India's traditional systems of medicine. While training with a variety of practitioners (homeopathic, naturopathic, medical and Ayurvedic) she recognized that incorporating the mental/emotional aspect is essential to allow the patient to let go of what holds them back from experiencing life to its fullest.
Through personal experience, she herself has been able to appreciate the profound shift that can occur with homeopathic treatment. After completing the ND program, she went to further her homeopathic training at the Ontario College of Homeopathic Medicine.
Dr. Aisha moved back to Calgary in 2011, where she has been in full time practice. With her patients, she assesses the whole person - body, mind and spirit - in order to identify the root cause of illness. Her compassionate and patient-centered approach allows for her to be fully present with her patients, acknowledging their concerns no matter how small, and guiding them to find their balance in health using the healing power of nature.
Dr. Aisha has a special interest in mental health, female hormone imbalance, digestive concerns, weight loss, chronic infections, auto-immune disease and anti-ageing. She is passionate about yoga, breathing and meditation, and looks forward to traveling to India again soon!
